Kevin Charleston, MBA

Chairman of the Board, President & CEO, Loomis Sayles

Kevin Charleston is chairman of the Board of Directors at Loomis, Sayles & Company. He is also chief executive officer and president. Kevin began his investment industry career in 1988 and joined Loomis Sayles in 2000. He was previously chief financial officer and was named president in 2014 and then chief executive officer in 2015. Prior to Loomis Sayles, Kevin was manager of financial operations at Nvest Companies, L.P., where he was responsible for all management and public reporting. He joined Nvest Companies as a senior financial analyst in 1993, was appointed assistant treasurer and manager of financial planning in 1995, and promoted to senior vice-president and treasurer in 1996. During his tenure at Nvest he played an important role in the firm’s acquisition activities, the design of affiliate compensation plans, and the review of affiliate business plans. Kevin began his career at The Boston Company, first as a senior financial analyst and later as manager of the financial planning and cost accounting departments. He earned a BA from Trinity College and an MBA from Boston University.

Brian P. Kennedy, MBA

Vice-President & Portfolio Manager, Loomis Sayles

Brian Kennedy is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and co-portfolio manager of the firm’s multisector institutional strategies and mutual funds. Brian started his investment industry career in 1990 as a senior fund accountant at the Boston Company. He joined Loomis Sayles in 1994 as a securitized and government bond trader. He transitioned to the high yield trading desk in 2001, where he initiated Loomis Sayles’ trading of bank loans, while also trading high yield, convertibles, derivatives and equities. Brian first joined the full discretion investment team as product manager in 2009. In 2013, he was promoted to co-portfolio manager of the investment grade bond products and in 2016 he was promoted again to co-portfolio manager of the multisector suite of products. Brian co-manages a variety of mutual fund and institutional strategies, including the Loomis Sayles Bond, Strategic Income, Investment Grade Bond, Investment Grade Fixed Income, High Income, Fixed Income, Multisector Income and Strategic Monthly Income Funds, as well as the multisector and core plus full discretion institutional accounts. Brian is actively involved in the Loomis Sayles mentorship program, undergraduate women’s investment network (UWIN) and summer internship programs. He was born and raised on the south shore of Massachusetts and enjoys coaching girls club hockey. Brian earned a BS from Providence College and an MBA from Babson College.

David W. Rolley, CFA

Vice-President & Portfolio Manager, Loomis Sayles

David Rolley is a vice-president, portfolio manager and co-team leader of the global fixed income team at Loomis, Sayles & Company. With 40 years of investment industry experience, he co-manages the Loomis Sayles Global Bond and Global Allocation funds in addition to a suite of products outside the US, and multiple emerging market and global bond portfolios. Prior to joining Loomis Sayles in 1994, he was a principal and director of international capital market research at DRI/McGraw-Hill. His responsibilities included international interest rate and currency forecasting, and risk management consulting. David was also corporate vice-president and senior US economist for the institutional equity group at Drexel Burnham Lambert, and chief financial economist at Chase Econometrics. David earned a BA from Occidental College and studied post-graduate economics at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a past president of the Boston Association of Business Economists.

Eileen N. Riley, CFA, MBA

Vice-President & Portfolio Manager, Loomis Sayles

Eileen Riley is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and portfolio manager for the Loomis Sayles global equity opportunities and global allocation strategies. She began her investment industry career at Loomis Sayles in 1998 as a member of the international equity team. After pursuing her MBA, Eileen returned to Loomis Sayles as a senior global equity analyst covering the consumer and technology services sectors for the firm’s central research group. She later joined the global equity team as a dedicated product analyst. Eileen was promoted to portfolio manager in 2013. Previously, she was a Fulbright student grant recipient in Germany. In 2018 and 2019, Eileen was named one of Citywire’s top 20 female portfolio managers in the US. She earned a BA with honors from Amherst College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Lee M. Rosenbaum, MBA

Vice-President & Portfolio Manager, Loomis Sayles

Lee Rosenbaum is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and portfolio manager for the Loomis Sayles global equity opportunities and global allocation strategies. He joined Loomis Sayles in 2008 as a senior global equity analyst for the firm’s central research group, covering the industrial, materials and financial services sectors. Lee later joined the global equity team as a dedicated product analyst. He was promoted to portfolio manager in 2013. Previously, Lee covered the financial services sector for Putnam Investments. Lee earned a BS with honors in civil engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy, and an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to his graduate studies, he served in the United States Coast Guard, achieving the rank of lieutenant.

Ryan McGrail, MBA

Vice-President & Senior Credit Research Analyst, Loomis Sayles

Ryan McGrail is a vice-president and senior credit research analyst at Loomis, Sayles & Company, covering the energy, pipelines and MLP sectors. Ryan has 19 years of investment industry experience. Upon joining Loomis Sayles in 2004, he assisted analysts in the retail, energy and chemical sectors before being promoted to associate, junior analyst and now senior analyst for the energy and pipeline space. He began his investment industry career as an operations analyst at Essex Investment Management. Ryan earned a BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Darcie Z. Sunnerberg, MBA

Vice-President & Associate Director of Macro Strategies, Loomis Sayles

Darcie Sunnerberg is a vice-president and associate director of macro strategies at Loomis, Sayles & Company. Additionally, she is a senior sovereign analyst covering central and eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and Canada. Darcie has 33 years of investment industry experience and joined Loomis Sayles in 1987. Previously, she was a fixed income trader, analyst, and portfolio manager. Darcie earned a BA from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and an MBA from Bentley College.

Julian Wellesley, CFA

Vice-President & Senior Global Equity Opportunities Analyst, Loomis Sayles

Julian Wellesley is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and a senior analyst for the Loomis Sayles global equity opportunities and global allocation strategies. He joined Loomis Sayles in 2014. Previously, Julian was a managing director and financial sector analyst for the global equities team at UBS Global Asset Management in London. Prior to this, he worked at Putnam Investments as an Asia-Pacific financial sector analyst. Julian began his investment career at Schroder Investment Management where he was a Japanese financial sector analyst based in Tokyo and a global financial sector analyst based in New York. He earned a bachelor's degree from Oxford University and a master’s degree from Sheffield University.

Gretchen Amidon, CFA, MBA

Vice-President, Loomis Sayles

Gretchen Amidon is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company, and product manager for the Global Equity Opportunities team. She joined Loomis Sayles in 2016 and has 18 years of investment industry experience. Previously, Gretchen was managing director and client portfolio manager at Epoch Investment Partners, where she represented the firm's global and international portfolios. Prior to this, she was a product specialist for the global equities team at Neuberger Berman. Gretchen has also held analyst positions at UBS and Prudential Financial, as well as positions at Fidelity Investments and LPL Financial. She earned a BA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and an MBA from the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University.

Adam Elliott

Senior Vice-President & National Sales Manager, iA Clarington

Adam joined iA Clarington in 2018 and has almost 20 years of mutual fund sales experience. He previously spent 18 years at Dynamic Funds, holding a variety of senior roles that included Regional Sales Manager for Ontario and Senior Executive, Business Development. Adam earned an Honours BA in History and Political Science from McGill University and is working towards his Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

James Gauthier, CFA

Head of Product Research & Oversight, iA Wealth

James Gauthier directs the product research and product oversight functions at iA Wealth. His team oversees roughly $80 billion in assets across the organization’s IIROC and MFDA-registered dealers and provides insight and thought leadership to more than 2,500 financial advisors. The team’s universe of coverage includes mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds and structured products. James speaks with countless portfolio managers regularly and his objective is to equip the firm’s financial advisors with the highest quality product-related information possible.

He is also involved in the development of platform solutions designed to encourage advisors to develop a model-based investment management approach as part of their practice. James has worked in various fund research roles since 1997.

Pamela N. Czekanski, CFA

Vice-President, Loomis Sayles

Pam Czekanski is a vice-president of Loomis, Sayles & Company and a strategic relationship manager focusing on sub-advised, OCIO and corporate clients. She has over 31 years of experience managing institutional equity and fixed income products and joined Loomis Sayles in 1995. Prior to Loomis Sayles, she was a portfolio manager at both Gardner Preston & Moss/INVESCO and One Federal Asset Management. Pam was also an economic analyst and portfolio manager at David L. Babson & Company. She earned a BA from Middlebury College, where she has served as a trustee. Pam is a member of CFA Society Boston.
