Multi-Factor Authentication
One more way to keep your information safe
We are integrating multi-factor authentication (MFA) into our secured web applications to add an extra layer of security for your accounts.
About MFA
MFA is a two-step validation process requiring you to provide two types of information to confirm your identity instead of only one. This additional step will greatly reduce your risk of becoming a victim of identity theft, online fraud and account hacking.
How does it work?
When logging in, you will be prompted to enter your username and password, followed by the security code that will be provided to you through the authentication method you have selected.
Available authentication methods
There are three methods for generating your security codes. One method is sufficient; however, you may set up more than one.
Note that a security code can only be used once. A new code will be required at every login.
Set-up takes just a few minutes. Click on a method below for details.
Google Authenticator app
Download the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone to generate security codes.
Okta Verify app
Download the Okta Verify app on your mobile phone to generate security codes.
Security key or biometric
Use facial recognition, fingerprint recognition, or PIN verification to approve access.

FAQ
Yes. All iA Financial Group companies are adopting MFA as it's considered a best practice for protecting company, employee and client information.
No, you must use MFA as part of the login process.
While voice call and SMS-to-mobile offer adequate protection for individual clients, given that advisors have access to a large number of client accounts and other sensitive information accessed through the applications, compromised advisor access presents a significantly higher risk in the event of a security breach. In addition, in order to maintain our cybersecurity coverage within our group E&O plan, we must restrict the MFA options to those that satisfy very specific security requirements.
A smartphone or tablet is required to use the Google Authenticator app and Okta Verify app. If you do not have a smartphone or tablet, you will need to use Windows Hello for facial recognition, a fingerprint reader or PIN verification on your computer.
